Green Bay Packers Sign Louisville Kings WR Kaden Prather

On Thursday, the Green Bay Packers worked out a few UFL players. They ended up signing WR Kaden Prather, who spent this past season with the Louisville Kings – winning a Championship.

This was Prather’s first year in spring football. The former Buffalo Bills draft pick landed with Chris Redman’s Kings, and while he took a backseat in what was a stacked wide receiver room, Kaden made all sorts of plays when his name was called upon.

Prather ended up recording 149 yards on the year, with 10 receptions on 22 targets. He did not score a touchdown, but was just inches away from a score in week nine.

Kaden had a successful collegiate career, playing at West Virginia and Maryland. Across a four year span, he racked up almost 2,000 receiving yards to go with 12 touchdowns. At 6’3”, 209lbs., Kaden has the frame and size – along with speed and impressive hands – that professional organizations target.

While he was drafted in 2025 in the seventh round by Buffalo, injuries were an issue. Prather dealt with a hamstring injury, which resulted in his release with an injury settlement at the end of the preseason. Now that he’s fully healthy, the Packers are giving the former draft pick a look. It isn’t surprising, as Green Bay has had success with spring football athletes in the past.

This signing is just another testament to what the UFL platform stands for: giving athletes another chance to chase their dreams. You can stay up to date with all UFL to NFL movement with our official tracker.
