San Antonio Brahmas Reborn: How Wade Phillips & Marc Lillibridge Changed Course

Former UFL GM Marc Lillibridge Takes Missouri Baptist Gig

Last month, all eight UFL General Managers were informed by the UFL that they were being let go. This includes Marc Lillibridge, who has served as the Houston Roughnecks (XFL) and San Antonio Brahmas (UFL) GM for the past few years.

Lillibridge has now landed himself a new gig, following his departure from the United Football League. It was announced on Thursday that Marc would be taking over Missouri Baptist University as Head Coach.

Marc has had a long history of working in football. The former Buffalo Bill spent time in front offices with the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs, with several years of experience in the NFL working in personnel.

Most recently, Lillibridge has spent the last few years in the XFL and UFL. He helped build the Houston Roughnecks organization under Wade Phillips – a group that went 7-3 and won the South Division. After moving over to San Antonio, Marc was key in constructing a team that won the XFL Conference en route to a Championship appearance in 2024.

Marc served as linebackers coach for Missouri Baptist this past fall. Now, he’ll receive his first opportunity as Head Coach – a well deserved opportunity.

“I am blessed to be selected as the head football coach of Missouri Baptist University…I am encouraged to boldly proclaim my faith in Jesus while guiding the future leaders of this country on the gridiron. The lessons of accountability, faith, love, teamwork, and persistence will be preached daily. I relish the platform to turn Missouri Baptist football into a #KingdomCulture.” – Marc Lillibridge

Spring football will miss Marc Lillibridge – but we at Pro Football Newsroom wish him the best in his next endeavor.
