Todd Centeio Signs With XFL Orlando Guardians

Former JMU QB Todd Centeio Signs With Orlando Guardians

The Orlando Guardians, led by HC Terrell Buckley, are currently in the midst of an important offseason that is tasked with fixing a lackluster team that finished 1-9 this past XFL season. That starts with adding to key positions, like they have done with the recent signing of UDFA and former James Madison University QB, Todd Centeio.

Centeio transferred to JMU for his final season of eligibility in 2022 and wasted no time making an impact in Harrisonburg.

The 2022 Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year threw for 2,697 yards and 25 touchdowns with just five interceptions, also adding 393 rushing yards and seven touchdowns on the ground.

Centeio joins a QB room that currently includes Quinten Dormady, Deondre Francois, and Quinton Flowers. Dormady started the second half of the season for Orlando and is currently expected to be the starter in 2024. Centeio’s job will be to bring much needed competition to the position, and potentially take over as the backup or even starter.
