Michigan Panthers Re-Sign Seven Players For 2025 | E.J. Perry

E.J. Perry, T.J. Carter, DaShaun White Sign NFL Contracts

Yesterday, three Michigan Panthers players signed NFL contracts. E.J. Perry, T.J. Carter, and DaShaun White are all headed back to the big leagues, having all played with the Panthers during this past UFL season.

QB E.J. Perry | Jacksonville Jaguars

E.J. Perry once again finds himself back with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the third straight season. He’s been with Jacksonville every year since 2022, on and off of their practice squad. Now, he’s back in action with the Jaguars as preseason comes to a close.

Perry made a name for himself with the Michigan Panthers in 2023, taking the team to the playoffs after making his first start in week ten of that year.

E.J. returned to Michigan for the UFL’s 2024 season, and earned the starting gig over Danny Etling. He played the first four weeks, but an injury against San Antonio sidelined him for the rest of the year. Perry’s raw talent was on display in the UFL this year, as he was leading the UFL in rushing touchdowns prior to injury.

After originally re-signing with Michigan for 2025, E.J. now has a chance to earn a roster spot with the Jaguars.

DT T.J. Carter | Arizona Cardinals

T.J. Carter has been with the Michigan Panthers, on and off, for the past few years. He spent the 2022 USFL season in Michigan, posting solid numbers with 24 tackles and 2.5 sacks. This earned him some NFL opportunities with the Saints and Rams, ultimately sticking with the Rams from 2022-2023.

Carter returned to the Panthers in 2024, serving as a depth piece in Collin Bauer’s defense. He didn’t make any starts, but saw action in almost every game this season – posting eight tackles and a sack. After a successful workout with the Cardinals, Carter is now headed to Arizona.

LB DaShaun White | Las Vegas Raiders

DaShaun White, originally a USFL College Draft pick with Michigan in 2023, has now used spring football to earn an NFL opportunity in back to back seasons. White went to the Bills for a time after the USFL’s 2023 season, but returned to Michigan in the UFL.

White was on and off the roster this year, partially due to injury as he was released for a time. DaShaun made an impact defensively when utilized, with an 80.9 Defensive Grade via PFF. He had 14 defensive tackles in 2024, with seven special teams tackles as well.

DaShaun is a young linebacker out of Oklahoma, with plenty of potential at the professional level. He’ll now have a chance to prove himself with the Las Vegas Raiders after his latest UFL campaign.

Final Thoughts

The Michigan Panthers have been a pipeline to the NFL for years. Steve Kazor knows how to attract NFL caliber talent, and there’s a reason why Michigan continues to see success from season to season. With these three latest contract terminations, the Panthers will have some holes to fill at each position.

Without the national platform that the UFL provided Perry, Carter, and White with, who knows if this opportunity would have been possible. You can stay up to date with all UFL to NFL signings with our official tracker.
