Curt Menefee, Joel Klatt Among Lead FOX Broadcasters for the USFL

With less than two weeks to go until the USFL kicks off its inaugural season, broadcasting teams are starting to come together for both FOX and NBC. As it turns out, Curt Menefee and Joel Klatt will be reunited to call USFL games as a duo.

Menefee and Klatt worked with each other during the XFL’s 2020 season, calling multiple games together. With that in mind, it is clear to see why FOX has decided to stick with the two moving forward into the USFL’s 2022 debut.

The duo will be on the call for the first USFL game on April 16th, between the Birmingham Stallions and the New Jersey Generals.

It also appears that Kevin Kugler will join the team, which makes perfect sense. Kugler called many TSL games for FOX in 2020 and 2021, proving his value in the world of spring football.

According to Rudy Martzke, Jac Collinsworth (Cris Collinsworth’s son), will lead play-by-play for NBC. While this has not been officially confirmed, it would not be surprising. Cris Collinsworth has plenty of connections with NBC, likely playing a role in his son’s growth into a broadcasting role.

While we wait for official announcements from both FOX and NBC on their respective broadcasting teams, it is exciting to see the league putting the final pieces together before April 16th. Buckle up, folks – it’s about to be a fun ride.
