Brian Woods Launches “The Pro Showcase” For November

When’s the last time you’ve heard the name “Brian Woods” in spring football? It’s been a little while. The former TSL and USFL executive has returned to the game, though, introducing “The Pro Showcase” – an event aimed at developing potential UFL, CFL, and NFL athletes.

For those who remember The Spring League, that was a football camp launched by Woods in the mid 2010’s. It grew exponentially, and eventually turned into a six-week season with full rosters of teams in 2021. The Spring League was all about player development, which paid off as league MVP Ryan Willis earned an NFL opportunity with the Chicago Bears.

When FOX Sports bought into spring football, Brian Woods was a lead executive with the USFL during their first season in 2022. Woods chose to step down at the end of the year.

He’s spent the last few years working with high school athletes, but now makes the move back to alternative and professional football. Woods is now launching The Pro Showcase, which appears to be a bridge between his older “The Spring League” events, and new spring football leagues such as the UFL.

According to The Pro Showcase’s website, this event exists for potential football prospects to:

  • Receive valuable “live” practice and game repetitions in a real football context
  • Get current practice and game film
  • Receive instruction from a staff comprised entirely of former NFL coaches
  • Be evaluated by player personnel departments from the NFL, CFL, & alternative football leagues

The Camp will be held in Miami, Florida. It will take place from November 10th-13th, with three practices (Monday-Wednesday), followed up by a game on Thursday, November 13th.

The Pro Showcase is limited to the first 100 players who are accepted, and costs $1,299.00. For more details about The Pro Showcase, please visit theproshowcase.com.

  1. TSL 2.0 ! – I’ve been waiting for B Woods to reemerge. He’s got a low cost biz model that no one is using and now looking for an in season plan like fall 2020. And guess what – he’ll get 100 to sign up and likely get some legit streamer like Paramount to put the “games” on.

    Good for him.

He wanted Fox to go all cheap in, even for FOX that was too low. Yet here we are going into the UFL 2026 with former TSL 2021 L Perez as a Dallas QB. He had a plan – it would have worked but it had a lowwww ceiling. Will his new version morph into similar? It may have a niche market.

  2. Yeah, this is pretty much The Spring League without being tied to the spring, or a league. I mean, the guy got six seasons out of it last time and there are players desperate enough for that shot that they’ll pay that kind of money for it.

Repole would be wise to do what Vince McMahon did and start looking into using it as a testing ground.
