It’s a little overdue, but this month the Birmingham Stallions finally received their 2024 UFL Championship rings. If we’re being honest – it was worth the wait. These rings are some of the best we’ve seen so far in the spring football scene.
This ring commemorates the Stallions’ 25-0 blowout win over the San Antonio Brahmas, during their Championship run in 2024. Birmingham went 11-1 that year, with the lone loss of the year coming in week nine, against the Brahmas.
It was a historic win for the Stallions, as the only pro football team to three-peat this century. Underneath the ring’s top, “3x Spring Football Champs” is etched into the metal.
Now, the “ring ceremony” itself was rather unique. It was held over Zoom – since it wasn’t scheduled to happen during this past UFL season, which contrasts 2024 – when Birmingham had their ring ceremony (for 2023’s Championship) ahead of their week three home opener.
At first glance, this wasn’t the prettiest look for the UFL. To have a ring ceremony for Birmingham’s 2024 Championship – over zoom – after DC already won the 2025 Championship, makes little sense on paper.
However, Stallions’ WR Marlon Williams says that the ring ceremony’s delay was not the UFL’s fault. He claims that the ring company was behind on their delivery.
The Birmingham Stallions aren’t the only pro football team to deal with ring delays. The Philadelphia Eagles were supposed to receive their rings during a June 6th ceremony from this past Super Bowl victory – but it was pushed back to July 18th due to production issues.
If the NFL – with all their money and resources – is having a ring delay, then it’s safe to say that the UFL was dealing with the same issue.
There’s currently no word on when the DC Defenders will receive their Championship rings. One would assume that they will be ready for DC’s home opener in 2026 – whenever that may be.
Speaking on ceremonies and celebrations – the Defenders are having a 2025 UFL Championship celebration today, at 4pm ET at District Wharf.
