The Birmingham Stallions had a record-setting 16 players sign with NFL teams this offseason, including RB C.J. Marable. Of those 16, six either made an active NFL roster or a practice squad.

Now, the other 10 players must decide what is next for them. At least one knows. Running back C.J. Marable has re-signed with the Stallions (for the second time this offseason).
Breaking: The Birmingham Stallions have re-signed RB C.J. Marable, per source.

New England Patriots
Marable signed with the New England Patriots during the NFL preseason. However, a few days afterwards, the Patriots also signed star running back Ezekiel Elliott. The Patriots running back room quickly got crowded, and Marable was squeezed out. He did not receive any touches in the preseason and was released at the end of preseason.
Back to Birmingham
C.J. Marable has decided to return to Birmingham for 2024. A key contributor for the Stallions over the past two seasons, Marable is a huge get for Skip Holtz and Zach Potter.
He was the Stallions leading rusher in 2022 and followed that up with an even better 2023 campaign: 525 rushing yards (fourth-best in the USFL), 235 receiving yards (third-best on the team), and 319 return yards (second-best on the team). His 1,079 all-purpose yards in the regular season were second-best in the entire USFL.
Over two seasons, Marable has produced 1,090 rush yards, 425 receiving yards, and 319 return yards. In total, he has 1,834 all-purpose yards and 11 touchdowns in two years. He will look to build on those numbers in 2024.
He doesn't receive the recognition he deserves, but no player on the Stallions offense over the past 2 seasons has been more consistent than @TorranceMarable:

Who Else?
Nine former Stallions remain unsigned after being cut by their NFL team: Deon Cain, Davion Davis, Jace Sternberger, La’Michael Pettway, Matt Kaskey, Cole Schneider, Cohl Cabral, Nate Brooks, and Colby Wadman. The Stallions will likely look to re-sign these players in the coming weeks.
Even if they do, they will have more signings to make as there are 15 open spots on their roster, and a few players are set to become free agents at the end of the month. It should be an interesting few weeks to see how it all plays out.
Updated list:
RB Bo Scarbrough
WR Adrian Hardy
WR Michael Dereus
DL Willie Yarbary
DE Dondrea Tillman
DE Jonathan Newsome
S Tyree RobinsonIf correct, these players will become FAs on 10/1, eligible to sign with any team. Something to monitor over the next few weeks. https://t.co/x53HJ7I8lk
