The Birmingham Stallions impressively had 16 players sign with NFL teams this offseason. Of those 16, six made an NFL roster or a practice squad. One of those six was defensive back Lorenzo Burns. Unfortunately, Burns was cut by the Cleveland Browns in September. After waiting it out for a few months, Burns has decided to re-sign with the Stallions.

Cleveland Browns
After winning two championships in the USFL, Burns signed with the Cleveland Browns this past summer. He had a solid preseason, playing in four games and registering 11 tackles. His play was good enough to secure a spot on the Browns’ practice squad. However, Burns was released in mid-September to make room for more offensive linemen.

Back to Birmingham
Burns has decided to return to Birmingham in 2024. A key contributor to the Stallions’ secondary over the past two seasons, Burns will be a welcome addition. Over two seasons, Burns has registered 45 tackles, two tackles for loss, two interceptions, nine pass deflections, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery.
There's a saying here: "It's nice to have you in Birmingham."
That's true for CB @lorenzoburns2, who just re-signed with the @USFLStallions. Over the past 2 seasons, he has 45 tackles, 2 TFLs, 2 INTS, 9 PBUs, 2 FF, & 1 FR. He also has 2 rings and will look to add a 3rd in 2024. pic.twitter.com/xob7ENZcYX

Three-peat?
The Stallions roster is slowly taking shape. From being down to around 40 players at one point, the Birmingham Stallions are now just a couple of players away from filling out their roster for 2024. They have a solid depth chart and will look to three-peat next season.
