Battlehawks Sign DT Isaiah Mack & LB Olakunie Fatukasi

The St. Louis Battlehawks made two more defensive additions on Wednesday. They’ve signed DT Isaiah Mack and LB Olakunie Fatukasi to the roster – two players who bring NFL experience to the table ahead of UFL Training Camp.

DT Isaiah Mack

Isaiah Mack has had quite the journey so far in the pro scene. He played his college football at Tennessee-Chattanooga, where he dominated from season to season. Across his collegiate career, Isaiah totaled 220 tackles and 21 sacks. As a senior, he earned seven All-American honors – and finished in third place in TFL’s all-time for Tennessee-Chattanooga, with 41.

This led to the Titans signing Isaiah as an UDFA, back in 2019. Since then, he’s been all over the place. Mack has had opportunities with the Patriots, Broncos, Steelers, Ravens, Seahawks, Jets, Commanders, and Dolphins.

In the NFL, Mack has 17 tackles and 2.5 sacks to his name, having played in 25 games – making one start. Mack’s primarily been on practice squads over the past couple of years. With the Dolphins this past preseason, Isaiah posted six tackles and a sack.

Now, he’ll look to help beef up a St. Louis defensive line unit that saw an uptick in production in 2024. Isaiah’s got the tangibles needed to see success at this level, and is someone that should absolutely have the opportunity to see a lot of snaps in 2025.

LB Olakunie Fatukasi

Olakunie is another guy who’s got some legitimate NFL experience under his belt, and now turns to the UFL to continue his pro career.

Fatukasi played his college football at Rutgers. He totaled 300 tackles and seven sacks during five seasons of play. As a junior, Olakunie racked up 101 tackles – which led all defensive players in the Big Ten Conference. He was one of 16 semifinalists for the Butkus Award that year.

Olakunie repeated the same honor next season, once again as a semifinalist. He had 89 tackles, 11 TFL’s, and 3.5 sacks with Rutgers as a senior.

Fatukasi was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an UDFA in 2022. Since then, he’s had quite a few stops, similar to Mack. Olakunie has been with the Broncos, Patriots, Chiefs – and most recently, the Rams. In his NFL career, Fatukasi has seven tackles. He’s been quite productive in the preseason, with 43 tackles and 2.5 sacks over the last couple of years.

Both of these signings are just more examples of the fine work being done by Head Coach Anthony Becht, and General Manager Dave Boller. Mack and Fatukasi are two prospects with plenty of upside at the pro level – and both have NFL experience that will give them an edge over some of the lesser known players in the UFL. St. Louis is looking to build a Championship roster, and they’ve made some major strides forward in that category this offseason.
