Atlanta Falcons Sign San Antonio Brahmas DE Delontae Scott

It’s official. The XFL has sent 54 players to the NFL. San Antonio Brahmas DE Delontae Scott has signed with the Atlanta Falcons, who have been quite aggressive in pursuing spring football athletes during training camp.

Delontae Scott had an unbelievable year for San Antonio. While the Brahmas struggled immensely from an offensive standpoint, their defense was stellar.

Scott played a major role in its dominance, posting:

36 tackles
11 TFL
7.5 sacks
2 FF

Throughout the season, Delontae Scott made key plays that put San Antonio in a position to win. In week six against Arlington, a strip sack of Drew Plitt put the Brahmas up 10-0, which ultimately led to a clutch victory on the road.

After so much success in the XFL, Delontae Scott is now headed to the NFL, having signed with the Atlanta Falcons. The NFL isn’t new territory for Scott, who’s had stints with the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers.

This is a significant signing for the XFL. Scott is the 54th XFL player to sign to an NFL team, which is a major number considering how important “Player 54” is to the brand as a whole.

With 54 players – and counting – headed to the NFL, the XFL continues to provide its athletes with incredible opportunities to pursue their dreams.
