Arlington Renegades Sign Darrius Moragne & Tenny Adewusi

The Arlington Renegades are making their final additions to their roster for the UFL season. DL Darrius Moragne and CB Tenny Adewusi have signed to the team, bringing depth to the defense for training camp.

DL Darrius Moragne

Darrius Moragne is back in the spring football scene. Moragne is no stranger to these leagues, having played for the Jousters in the TSL during their 2021 season – helping lead the team to a championship.

After that, Moragne spent time with the Pittsburgh Maulers in the USFL. In 2022, he compiled 16 total tackles, and 1.5 sacks. Unfortunately, an injury in week three cut short his impressive stint, and he was ultimately released later on in the season.

Moragne saw some successful years at Kansas, racking up 45 tackles and 2.5 sacks across two seasons. Since fully recovering from his injury, Moragne now has an opportunity to join the XFL champions for this upcoming tenure. Interestingly enough, he was originally picked up by the San Antonio Brahmas last year, but now finds a new home with Arlington.

DB Tenny Adewusi

Tenny Adewusi is returning home. For those who are new to the XFL or USFL (now UFL), Tenny played with the Dallas Renegades back in 2020. During that shortened five week season, he was a key piece to their secondary, starting all five games and posting 22 tackles.

In 2023, Tenny ended up landing with the San Antonio Brahmas. He started in nine of 10 games played, finishing the year with 50 tackles and two interceptions. Adewusi did a bit of everything for a solid Brahmas defense – one that didn’t get enough credit last year due to their offensive struggles.

One storyline that went under the radar last year was in week six. Tenny Adewusi made the game winning interception against his former team, which – for a time – saved their season. Now, after being unprotected by the Brahmas, Adewusi comes back to the Renegades.

Final Thoughts

General Manager Rick Mueller and Head Coach Bob Stoops are taking all the time they need to finalize their roster. With one spot remaining, the Renegades have a couple of days left to secure their final piece before training camp begins.

The team’s latest signing before this batch was QB Drew Plitt, who returned to the squad after spending some time with the Cincinnati Bengals.
