The Arlington Renegades have finally begun to re-sign players for the 2025 UFL season. Aside from bringing back Holton Ahlers and Juwan Manigo, Arlington has agreed to terms with:
RB Devin Darrington
OT Adrian Ealy
LB Willie Taylor
DB Jamar Summers
DB Jamal Carter
LS Antonio Ortiz

RB Devin Darrington
Devin Darrington was a midseason addition for Arlington this past year – after originally being cut in Training Camp. Devin was with the Orlando Guardians in 2023, posting 294 yards and four scores on the ground.
Devin Darrington is having himself a GAME for the @XFLGuardians. His 43 yard TD run gives him two on the day, keeping Orlando alive.

It was surprising to see Darrington get released, but he came back and did make a bit of an impact down the stretch of the season. Once Dae Dae Hunter went on IR, Arlington re-signed Devin. He rushed for 74 yards, averaging 3.9 yards per carry. He contributed as a pass blocker as well, with an 80.9 pass blocking grade via PFF.
OT Adrian Ealy
One of Arlingtons’ strong suits in 2024 was their offensive line play. They consistently gave Luis Perez time in the pocket, which led to him posting such impressive numbers this year.
Adrian Ealy was a key rotational piece, who ended up starting in the final five games of the year for the Renegades. Ealy only gave up one sack all year, alongside four quarterback hits. While he may not be a day one starter, Adrian’s someone who does fit into this system and deserves a roster spot.
OLB Willie Taylor
Willie Taylor officially returns to the Renegades for his third season with the franchise. Willie had a fantastic campaign in 2023, with 16 tackles and four sacks. This earned him a spot with the Jacksonville Jaguars during the 2023 NFL preseason.

Taylor saw a smaller role this year, starting in just one game. That said, he still made an impact as an edge rusher, with 17 tackles and 1.5 sacks on the year. Taylor also notched 20 quarterback hurries this season. He’s a quality defensive player who is familiar with Jay Hayes’ defense, and now will look to return to a starting role in 2025.
DB Jamar Summers
Jamar Summers has been a staple in the spring football scene for several years. He began his career in the AAF with the Birmingham Iron, before moving to the XFL in 2020 with the New York Guardians. That year, Summers posted 16 tackles and an interception.
The buck didn’t stop there. Summers landed in the USFL in 2022, starting in seven games for the Houston Gamblers. Jamar racked up 26 tackles and four PBU’s that year. He made his way back to the XFL in 2023, totaling 14 tackles and an interception with the Vegas Vipers.

Jamar Summers found himself on the Arlington Renegades roster heading into the inaugural season of the UFL. He was primarily a depth piece defensively, with eight tackles and two PBU’s to his name. Jamar wasn’t excellent in coverage this year, allowing seven receptions on 11 targets. That said, it appears that his veteran presence will be a part of this defense for another season.
S Jamal Carter
One of the most underrated defenders on this Renegades defense this year was Jamal Carter. He had an excellent campaign with 43 tackles and two PBU’s, boasting a strong 72.2 defensive grade via PFF. Jamal started in every game he played in this season – but did miss a few matchups due to injury. When he wasn’t on the field, it was clear that the defensive unit wasn’t the same.

Jamal has some NFL experience with the Broncos, Falcons, and Titans. Across those years, he totaled 26 tackles in the NFL. Carter’s explosiveness and smart decision making are assets that are very valuable to this defense, one that needs to see some improvements in 2025.
LS Antonio Ortiz
Finally, the Renegades have re-signed their trusty long snapper in Antonio Ortiz. Ortiz has been with the Renegades the past two seasons, and did earn some NFL workouts after this past year. He’s consistent, and quietly one of the stronger specialists in this scene. Having him back is excellent news for this Arlington special teams unit.

After a few months of no movement, General Manager Rick Mueller has finally started to make moves. It’ll be intriguing to see what the team does at quarterback, having only re-signed Holton Ahlers so far.
