On Monday, the Arlington Renegades brought back two familiar faces to the roster. RB Leddie Brown and LB Storey Jackson have re-signed, returning to action ahead of the 2025 UFL season.

RB Leddie Brown
The Renegades have had Leddie Brown on their roster for the past two seasons in the XFL/UFL. He didn’t see any action until midway through the 2023 campaign in Arlington, and quickly became an important piece to the offense. Brown rushed for 179 yards in 2023, and made some contributions in the XFL Championship – including a touchdown scamper in Arlington’s win.

This season, Brown was primarily RB2, behind De’Veon Smith. He rushed for 124 yards, while totaling 126 receiving yards – proving to be a dynamic weapon out of the backfield for Chuck Long and his offense. His shiftier running style provided Arlington with some diversity, as he was paired up with Smith who’s more of a downhill back.
Brown got injured in week seven, and missed the rest of the season. Hopefully, a fully healthy Leddie can finally get to play a full year in the UFL this upcoming campaign.
LB Storey Jackson
Defensively, GM Rick Mueller has brought back Storey Jackson to the lineup – a young linebacker who flashed some legitimate potential in the UFL this year.
Storey Jackson was an offseason addition for Arlington, joining the team during the merger process. He ended up impressing in Training Camp, earning a roster spot within Jay Haye’s defense.
Jackson totaled 41 tackles, two TFL’s, and a PBU – with 13 special teams tackles to his name as well. Storey didn’t start in any games this year, but saw action in all ten. He was a Special Teams Player of the Year nominee.

This led to an NFL opportunity with the Atlanta Falcons. Storey spent the 2024 NFL preseason with Atlanta, and posted one tackle in the final game. Now, he’ll look to run it back in the UFL, with the Arlington Renegades.
