The Arlington Renegades made a couple of important additions to their offensive line on Tuesday. Both Ricky Lee and Spencer Rolland agreed to terms with Arlington for the upcoming UFL season, bringing talent and NFL experience to the table.

OT Ricky Lee
Starting off with Ricky Lee, the Renegades have brought back someone they signed back in December. Lee got a practice squad opportunity with the New York Giants, so his contract was terminated just weeks after joining Arlington.
Ricky began his college career at North Carolina Central, where he started in 23 games across two seasons at right tackle. Lee did not play in 2020, due to COVID-19 canceling the season.
In 2021, Ricky made the move to North Carolina A&T, joining the Aggies. He started in 11 games that year, playing 648 snaps with an overall grade of 80.0 via PFF. Lee’s success continued in 2022, as he started in every matchup that season as well.

Lee signed with the Carolina Panthers as an UDFA in 2023. He was with the team during that preseason – and spent six games activated on the roster. Then Lee was bounced around between the Vikings and Browns, on and off of their practice squads. Now, he’ll look to get his pro career back on track in the UFL with Arlington.
OT Spencer Rolland
Spencer Rolland is another nice pickup for Arlington and this offensive line unit. He was one of their UFL College Draft picks, having been selected in the eighth round back in July.
Spencer began his collegiate career at Harvard, and earned First Team All-Ivy League honors during the 2021 season. In 2022, he made the move to North Carolina, and started in 26 games with the school. In 2023, Rolland was a William V. Campbell Trophy Semifinalist.
Rolland was signed by the Minnesota Vikings as an UDFA, spending this past preseason with the team. Spencer had a solid Pass Blocking Grade of 67.9 via PFF, but was let go during roster cutdowns in August. Now, the UFL draft pick will take advantage of this platform as he looks to get his professional career off the ground.
Final Thoughts
These are two needed signings for Arlington, for multiple reasons. First and foremost, they simply need to strengthen the O-Line. It was a unit that played decently well in 2024, but there is certainly room for improvement with the uptick in talent we’re looking at in 2025 defensively.
On top of that, starting center Jake Lacina has announced his retirement. Jake was a huge part of Arlington’s success in the trenches this past year – and his presence will certainly be missed.
