Orlando Predators Reportidly Jumping from NAL to AFL

AFL Officially Announces Return of Orlando Predators — Set to Play at Amway

Earlier this year it was revealed that the Arena Football League (AFL) would be making a return in 2024.

It was promised that the league would be housing 16 teams, all of which would play out of their home markets. Since then we’ve seen a bit of movement in the league, and movement from teams returning to the AFL.

It was rumored that the Orlando Predators would be exiting the National Arena League (NAL) for the AFL, and today that news became official.

The AFL just announced that not only will the Orlando Predators return in 2024, they will also call the Amway Center their home.

The Predators previously played in the AFL from 1991 to 2015, during which they secured two Arena Bowl championships.

AFL commissioner Lee Hutton commented on the news, stating “The excitement of the Orlando Predators returning to the AFL is yet another example of out commitment to hand select the best in Arena Football”.

Speaking of Hutton, during the press conference he said to expect 4 divisions over 2 conferences.

There’s still a lot to learn about the returning AFL, and with kickoff slated for April of 2024 the news should become more and more frequent.
