AFL Reveals Team Locations for 2024 Return

AFL Announces Introduction of Washington Franchise

The AFL is making a return in 2024, and slowly but surely we’re learning all of the details.

The league is looking to begin their season in April of 2024, with the AFL Championship taking place July 20th.

Last week it was finally officially revealed that the Orlando Predators would be making a comeback to the AFL in 2024. Additionally, they announced that they would call Amway Center their home.

The official Arena Football League (AFL) social accounts just dropped a press release naming Washington as another one of their home cities.

The press release doesn’t go as far as giving the franchise a name, but we did get a few details. The team is set to play out of Angels of the Wind arena in Everett, WA.

The ownership team will be led by Mike Thomas, who says the name should be revealed in the upcoming weeks.

As part of the announcement, the Washington team is forming a community advisory board of business, political, labor and community leaders throughout the region to help guide the team and its operations.

They also linked to a website for the AFL Washington franchise, but there’s not a lot on the page at the moment.
