It’s a brand new era for the United Football League (UFL), pun intended. With Mike Repole at the helm, New Era will be the uniform distributor for the UFL, rebranding several jerseys, while also designing the makeups for the added teams.
Over the past few days, the UFL has released each new uniform. The major general changes include a “NoBull” logo, similar to what the U.S. Army patch that was donned in 2024. Additionally, New Era’s logo is on the jerseys, as opposed to Under Armour who provided the UFL with jerseys the last two seasons.
Let’s take a look at what your favorite team will be wearing this season.
Birmingham Stallions
The Birmingham Stallions are one of the UFL franchises who saw a big change to what they’ll be sporting on weekends. The primary red is gone, with a darker red featured on the helmet. Their home jerseys are primarily gold, a stark contrast to the reds we’ve seen in the past. Not surprisingly, the away jerseys are relatively similar to what they were, with an all-white look. Stallions fans haven’t been too thrilled by the change – but Repole is confident they will like the uniforms when they hit the field.
Columbus Aviators
Columbus, take flight. The Aviators boast some of the cleanest jerseys we have seen yet in spring football. Their homes are primarily Navy Blue, highlighted by baby blue accents, with some red sprinkled in for good measure. These are, by far, some of the most creative uniforms released by any football league. The light blue helmets perfectly contrast the dark uniforms. The aways leave a bit to be desired (light blue pants would’ve been fantastic) – but regardless, they’ve got a slick set.
Dallas Renegades
While the powder blue isn’t entirely gone, the Dallas Renegades will feature a revised look as they step into a new chapter at Toyota Stadium. Their uniforms are relatively similar to what they’ve boasted the last few years – but the helmets are now black, adding a new edge to their look on the field. Their numbers will remain the same, as a bold black and red mixture, differentiating themselves from the rest of the jerseys.
DC Defenders
As for the DC Defenders, they retain their clean reds and whites, with a couple small adjustments. First and foremost, the helmets no longer feature a camo pattern, which is a shame. That was a detail that fans absolutely loved, and also allowed for their uniforms to pop. That said, the added touch of shoulder stripes and stars is appreciated, and a strong nod to the “Defending the District” mantra DC has had the last few seasons.
Houston Gamblers
Of the rebrands, the Houston Gamblers might have the best jerseys of them all. Houston’s new logo added layers of yellow, replacing the dark blue of the previous Roughnecks branding. The Gamblers will rock all-black home jerseys, with their aways being an inverted white. A shoulder patch featuring an alternative logo is an unbelievably awesome final touch. The helmets, while nothing incredibly special, bring together an excellent color combination from top to bottom.
Louisville Kings
The Louisville Kings will feature an intriguing color combination, rocking the dark and neon green, similar to what the Orlando Guardians had in 2023. It’s a bit different, though, and the jerseys themselves look cleaner than Orlando’s did. The Kings will have dark green home jerseys, with neon green numbers. To add to the “royal” feel, there are also diamonds, and a logo similar to the New Orleans Saints, on the shoulder pads. The aways are a little odd, with a light grey finish as opposed to white.
Orlando Storm
As for the Orlando Storm, while the logo is primarily purple and orange, their home jerseys will be a dark navy/black primarily. It’s an interesting choice, as many were expecting Orlando to have something similar to the USFL’s Pittsburgh Maulers back in 2022, with the purple and orange. Their helmets will also be a dark off-black color. Following suit, Orlando’s away jerseys will be all white, with purple numbers and orange accents.
St. Louis Battlehawks
Finally, the St. Louis Battlehawks remain mostly the same. They’re the second team to have a non-white away jersey, with the greys remaining intact featuring dark blue numbers and accents. Their home jerseys were altered a bit under New Era, with a bold all-blue look resembling what St. Louis has featured the last three seasons. On the shoulders is an arch design, a classy nod to what the city is known for. Realistically, the only issue here is the new helmets, which strangely changed the wing design from what it was – and currently is – on the team’s official logo.
