UFL TV Ratings In Week Four (2025) Stay Consistent

The TV Ratings for the UFL from week four are in, and paint a picture of consistency…whether you like the numbers, or not. According to Mike Mitchell, the ratings from week four’s action are as follows:

Michigan vs. Memphis (FOX): 679,000
Arlington vs. St. Louis (ABC): 901,000
Houston vs. Birmingham (FOX): 606,000
DC vs. San Antonio (FOX): 739,000

Friday nights on FOX are remaining steady with viewership between 600-700k per game. Memphis vs. Michigan this past week resulted in a 27-9 final score, but was relatively close until the fourth quarter began. While the ratings for Friday nights haven’t been as high as some expected, it is a new property for FOX and the UFL – and is something they’re confident will improve as it establishes itself within the spring sports ecosystem.

ABC once again has the highest rated matchup of the week. Arlington vs. St. Louis, which competed with the NBA playoffs kicking off, averaged 901,000 in audience. Last week, ABC’s matchup between DC and St. Louis saw 967,000 people tune in. Clearly, the fanbase in St. Louis is one of the key components in having a higher-rated game.

As we’ve seen with the USFL, and now the UFL, FOX has a difficult time reaching the 1M mark for regular season games. Their audience has a base of around 600-700k per game, with Sunday’s Easter matchup between DC and San Antonio making a leap to 739,000. It’s a number that, without a doubt, needs to see improvement. Both of FOX’s matchups over the weekend were competing with the NBA playoffs.

While the UFL’s TV Ratings aren’t exactly something to get incredibly excited about, the good news is that they’ve remained pretty consistent, outside of ESPN’s showing last week. Ideally, we’ll see games on FOX reach back up to around 800-900k, which was a number we saw more often a year ago.

  1. Cut the cord on cable, more than two years ago. I tryed watching the Friday night game on my tablet but every time the game cut to an ad it was difficult to get back to the game. Eventually I gave up.

  2. I wonder what the magic number that FOX/ESPN look at regarding the TV ratings that they consider good for Season 2?

  3. I’m sure Fox is disappointed with those numbers. Its down big from UFL 2024. Its closer to USFL 2023 or USFL 2022 after week 4. Lots of small market games Memphis Friday night and Birm Saturday night can’t be helping.
On the plus side ABC once again had a solid number.

    1. Picture won’t improve till boots hit the ground in respective cities. Marketing and media need to improve.

  4. It’s really competitive football first few weeks were up against March madness I try to watch every game because I love football

  5. The optics of empty stadiums screams “minors league”! It’s imperative that they put fans in those seats, even if they have to give them away. Also, an announcement (in season) of future expansion would help the league be taken more seriously. And, although they seem to think that a non-confrontational acquiescence to being a “developmental” league is the safe direction in which to go, it’s a gigantic misstep, in my opinion. It will stunt the league’s growth.

    1. Lack of fans in stands hasn’t hurt TV ratings nor has fans in stands helped TV ratings. Look at the numbers 2022-2025.
Making it harded to see the league TV schedule weekly hasn’t helped. Less promotion including MIA “The Rock”, FOX and ESPN/ABC not cross promoting league and too much Dany Garcia. They need to focus on raising awareness in general. Being in two veryyyyy small TV markets in Memphis and Birmingham hasn’t helped.
And the strike talk took, lets face it, took a toll. Big issue. And talking up a lleague of opportunity isn’t working. Saying someone played in the NFL or got signed by NFL is fine. But saying the leagues function is to help players get to the NFL is not. Sure, say that to the players for recruiting talent… but not to the fans.
