UFL To NFL Rundown: 2025 Week Six Action

We’re already six weeks in the NFL season, and UFL to NFL athletes continue to shine. There were over a dozen UFL, USFL, or XFL players who suited up for action over the weekend.

Let’s take a look at what went down this week in the NFL, with specialists taking the spotlight once again.

Green Bay Packers

K Lucas Havrisik, Renegades
P Daniel Whelan, Defenders

One of the greatest stories this weekend came out of Green Bay, with Lucas Havrisik being added to the team as an emergency kicker at the last minute. Lucas spent this past UFL season with the Dallas Renegades. He made both field goal attempts on the day, with a long of 43 yards – and knocked through all three XP attempts.

Daniel Whelan continues to punt at a high level for the Packers. The former Defenders punter had two punts for 91 yards in the win over Cincinnati.

Cleveland Browns

K Andre Szmyt, Battlehawks
LS Rex Sunahara, Brahmas

While it wasn’t the brightest day for the Cleveland Browns, Andre Szmyt was on a tear. He made all three field goal attempts, scoring the lone nine points for Cleveland. Szmyt’s long of 53 yards is a career high in the NFL. Meanwhile, former Brahmas long snapper Rex Sunahara is the team’s starting long snapper.

Dallas Cowboys

WR KaVontae Turpin, Generals*
DT Perrion Winfrey, Stallions*
K Brandon Aubrey, Stallions

Brandon Aubrey was the lone spring football athlete to suit up for Dallas this week. He hit both field goal attempts and three extra points, accounting for nine points in their 30-27 loss vs. Carolina.

Perrion Winfrey remains on IR, and has yet to see the field yet for Dallas during the regular season. KaVontae Turpin is dealing with an ankle sprain, but is expected to be back soon.

Detroit Lions

RB Jacob Saylors, Battlehawks
DB Nick Whiteside, Battlehawks
K Jake Bates, Panthers

Nick Whiteside was activated for the first time by Detroit off of the practice squad, having re-signed last week. Nick was featured on a few special teams snaps, but didn’t record any statistics. Jacob Saylors was also on special teams, but didn’t have any returns this week on kickoffs or punts.

Jake Bates didn’t have to do anything unexpected on Sunday night, with one field goal attempt from 28 yards out – alongside two XP’s.

Atlanta Falcons

DT LaCale London, Battlehawks
K John Parker Romo, Brahmas

John Parker Romo was on point for the Falcons once again, in their 24-14 win over the Bills on Monday night. He was 3-for-3 on XP attempts – and hit a 33 yard field goal as well. Parker’s first field goal attempt from 37 yards out was blocked.

DT LaCale London has not been utilized by Atlanta as of late. He once again did not record any stats for a second consecutive game.

Other UFL To NFL Performances

Stallions DE Dondrea Tillman, Broncos: Tillman hasn’t seen the field much with Denver as of late, playing just 16 snaps on Sunday. He totaled one tackle in Denver’s win over New York.

Stars DT LaBryan Ray, Panthers: LaBryan was active for a second straight week, seeing the field for 15 snaps in the Panthers win. Ray posted two tackles, including a defensive stop.

Roughnecks DT C.J. Brewer, Buccaneers: Brewer made an impact for the Bucs in his first real action of the year. He had a tackle and a sack on just 11 defensive snaps.

Final Thoughts

Week six wasn’t the loudest week for UFL to NFL storylines, but the specialist consistency remains across the board. Lucas Havrisik making his 2025 NFL debut was a pleasant surprise, and more proof that the spring football ecosystem is necessary in this space.
