Week fourteen in the NFL brought a lot to the table for former UFL alumni. A good chunk of it took place on Thursday night, where the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions faced off.
During that game, Jake Bates and Brandon Aubrey combined for 30 points. Meanwhile, returners in Jacob Saylors and KaVontae Turpin had 310 kick return yards between each other.
Let’s take a look at what all went down on Sunday.
Minnesota Vikings
DT Jalen Redmond, Renegades
Another week, another big outing from Jalen Redmond – to absolutely no one’s surprise. Redmond was second on the team in total tackles on the day, with six of them during the 31-0 blowout win. Jalen finished the afternoon with six tackles, two TFL’s, and a sack.
Atlanta Falcons
DT LaCale London, Battlehawks
LaCale London is another defensive tackle who exploded with production this weekend. LaCale totaled six tackles – an NFL career high – as the Falcons were blown out by the Seahawks 37-9. London’s been a steady force on the interior for Atlanta, and continues to show that week in and week out.
Cleveland Browns
K Andre Szmyt, Battlehawks
LS Rex Sunahara, Brahmas
It wasn’t an incredibly busy day for Andre Szmyt – but he did knock through a short field goal, alongside two XP’s during Cleveland’s two point loss to Tennessee. Andre also notched his first career tackle in the NFL.
Other UFL to NFL Performances
Roughnecks DT C.J. Brewer, Buccaneers: Brewer finally saw some action, activated for the first time in several weeks. C.J., formerly with the XFL’s Roughnecks in 2023, totaled one tackle.
Defenders P Daniel Whelan, Packers: Daniel Whelan had another decent day for Green Bay, punting three times for 145 total yards in their win over the Bears.
Stallions K Harrison Mevis, Rams: Harrison Mevis’ big leg hasn’t seen too much action in Los Angeles from a distance – because it hasn’t been needed. The Rams cruised to a 45-17 win over Arizona, with Mevis connecting on all six XP’s, and a chip shot field goal to account for nine points.
Stallions DE Dondrea Tillman, Broncos: It was a quieter outing for Tillman, who totaled just one tackle in the win over Las Vegas.
Final Thoughts
It was a busy week of UFL action in the NFL. Kickers took the mainstage on Thursday night – followed up by a couple of DT’s leaving their marks on Sunday afternoon.
