Orion Stewart Cut: Star Safety Awaiting Next Call

Orion Stewart Cut: Star Safety Awaiting Next Call

Call me crazy, but I was absolutely mind-blown when I saw the Michigan Panthers had cut safely Orion Stewart last week.

My first thought was that this had to be due to an undisclosed season-ending injury.

Turns out I was wrong.

According to my sources, Stewart “has no idea why” the Panthers cut him.

This guys numbers this season alone in the United States Football League (USFL) have been nothing short of extraordinary.

Stewart has not only been a team leader in defensive stats, he’s also been a league-wide leader.

Stewart’s 2022 stats speak for themselves: he racked up 17 total tackles and one interception prior to being cut.

Back in his Baylor days, this dude roamed and roared in the secondary with a serene sense of tenacity rarely seen nowadays.

And he still does so today.

When asked if he’d be willing to sign with another USFL team or the XFL, my sources tell me that Stewart “just wants to ball.”

Makes sense.

This game isn’t the same without Stewart.

If not the USFL or XFL, I could easily see this guy in the NFL.

But he needs on the field to prove he belongs at that level.

Come on, coaches and general managers!

How has no one called this guy up and offered him a new contract yet?

There’s still four games left in the inaugural USFL season, and the XFL’s new league has yet to launch.

My bet is that we’ll be seeing Stewart soon on the field of play.

It’s only a matter of when and where.
