His best year was in 2018, when he registered 34 tackles in 16 games played (one start). He was a quality depth piece for the Chiefs, but eventually fell out of the rotation due to other talent being brought in.
He most recently garnered interest from the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he was brought in for a workout during the 2022 preseason.
At the collegiate level, Dorian O’Daniel was outstanding. He compiled 205 tackles and 8.5 sacks across four seasons, dominating at Clemson.
Now, he is set to join the Pittsburgh Maulers on a defense that is already one of the top in the spring football scene. Jarren Horton has a keen eye for quality talent, and has struck gold yet again with another linebacker with plenty of NFL caliber experience.
Remember, this roster also features former first round NFL pick Reuben Foster. With Dorian O’Daniel joining the team, he puts himself in an excellent position to get back on the NFL’s radar.
Since October 1st, the Maulers have been very aggressive in USFL free agency. New GM Dennis Polian has brought in plenty of new faces, including:
RB Trey Williams (Generals) WR Diondre Overton (Stars) OL Brodarious Hamm (Panthers) C Sean Brown (Stars)
