Philadelphia Stars Re-Sign LB Gabriel Sewell Jr. For 2024 Season

The Philadelphia Stars have re-signed a key piece to their defensive unit. Linebacker Gabriel Sewell is returning for 2024, serving as one of the most underrated interior defenders in the USFL.

Gabriel Sewell has been a pillar for the Stars defense throughout the last two seasons. In 2022 he posted 45 total tackles, alongside 0.5 sacks. In a week eight win against Michigan, Sewell had an unbelievable strip sack of Paxton Lynch at the goal-line, effectively sealing the victory.

During the 2023 campaign, Sewell started in all ten games for the Philadelphia Stars. He finished the year with 60 tackles and a fumble recovered, making an impact throughout the year as one of the toughest tacklers in the game.

Gabriel Sewell has plenty of quality experience in the USFL, and college. Sewell played for Nevada for five years, racking up 283 tackles and 3.5 sacks throughout his tenure there.

Now, he returns to the Philadelphia Stars for another season, prepared to bring plenty more hard hits and highlight plays to the league.
