Earlier today we reported on an interview with former Houston Roughnecks head coach June Jones where he seemed to confirm that he would be returning to the XFL. Since then, Coach Jones has commented on the matter directly.

During his time with the Houston Roughnecks, June Jones let the team to an undefeated 5-0 record. The XFL was forced to suspend the season just halfway through due to the emergence of COVID-19. Since then, a lot of things have happened. The league filed for bankruptcy, and when all things seemed dire Dany Garcia, Dwayne Johnson and RedBird Capital came in at the last moment to scoop up the company.
Now that we know that the XFL will be returning in 2022, we’re looking forward to seeing some official announcement from the league soon on these fronts. As always, we’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
