Atlanta Falcons Signing USFL DPOY LB Frank Ginda

Atlanta Falcons Signing USFL DPOY LB Frank Ginda

It’s about time. The Atlanta Falcons are signing Michigan Panthers LB Frank Ginda, after a successful workout this week. Ginda is the seventh Panther to officially sign with an NFL team.

This comes as no surprise. Frank Ginda has been one of the top players in the USFL during the past two seasons. He built upon his success this year, earning Defensive Player Of The Year honors in 2023.

His All-USFL campaign was record breaking. During the 2023 season, Frank Ginda won DPOW awards four times, which is a first.

In addition, he tied a modern USFL record by racking up 18 tackles in a week six matchup against the Birmingham Stallions.

Throughout the year, Ginda was in command. His combination of strength, intelligence, and leadership makes him into a valuable weapon for any defense. HC Mike Nolan spoke about the importance of his mental and physical fortitude during the season:

Frank Ginda finished the year posting some remarkable stat-lines:

104 tackles (1st)
4 TFL
3 INT (T-2nd)
1 sack

After multiple workouts with NFL organizations, Frank has officially signed with the Atlanta Falcons. This is an extremely well deserved opportunity. Ginda has played in the AAF, XFL, and USFL for the past four years, getting better with each and every year.

Final Thoughts

Now, he has a chance to pursue his NFL dream with the Falcons. Had it not been for the platform – and the national exposure – that the USFL provided him with, who knows if this opportunity would have come along.

Including Frank Ginda, seven Michigan Panthers have signed with NFL teams. These include RB Stevie Scott (Arizona), WR Kaden Davis (Arizona), WR Trey Quinn (Detroit), DE Breeland Speaks (San Francisco), DE Levi Bell (Seattle), and DB Josh Butler (Dallas).
